The Product

The Real Gutter Protector was developed and patented by Waterloov. It has been tested in the most demanding conditions since 1987. The first test installation was in a heavily wooded area in Red Bank, New Jersey. Each year, the end cap is removed to monitor any build up of debris in the gutter. For over 20+ years, virtually nothing has entered the gutter but rainwater.

Smaller Openings Strain Debris.
Most gutter covers are characterized by an unbroken horizontal opening – plenty of room for pine needles, whirligigs and any other small bits of debris to enter the gutter.

The Real Gutter Protector employs staggered smaller openings that deny entrance to all but the tiniest particles that are easily swept away in the gutter.

Over the Gutter, Not Over the Shingles.
Many cover products install on top of the shingles and alter the roof-line of the home. What's more, they often must be fastened through the shingles.

The Real Gutter Protector is slipped under the first course of shingles and fastens securely to the gutter, never through the shingles. It preserves the roof-line the architect intended.

No Rainwater Overshoot
The Real Gutter Protector presents a broad, almost flat surface to slow the flow of rainwater as it comes off the shingles. The water then flows over the forward lip and into the louvers. Should any water get past the two rows of louvers, it engages the lip of the gutter and is drawn by capillary action into the gutter. No other clog free gutter offers three tiers of openings to capture the flow of water.
